Getting Started
Is FitAI Coach really free to start? +

Yes. The free tier is genuinely free with no credit card required. You get daily recovery scoring, 1 AI workout plan per month, 3 AI coach messages per day, and unlimited workout logging. You can use FitAI Coach for free as long as you like and only upgrade when you want unlimited access.

Is FitAI Coach suitable for complete beginners? +

Absolutely. During onboarding you select your fitness level — Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced. For beginners, the AI generates a program with lighter loads, more rest days, and foundational movement patterns. The AI coach is always available to explain any exercise, answer questions about form, or adjust the plan if something feels too hard.

Can I use the app without gym equipment? +

Yes. During onboarding you specify your available equipment — full gym, home gym with dumbbells, resistance bands only, or bodyweight only. The AI generates a complete program using only what you have. If your situation changes, you can regenerate your plan at any time from the home screen.

What devices does FitAI Coach support? +

FitAI Coach is available on:

  • iOS — iPhone and iPad, iOS 15 and above
  • Android — Android 10 and above
  • Apple Watch and Wear OS metrics sync automatically through Apple HealthKit and Google Fit respectively
AI & Features
How does the AI generate my workout plan? +

During onboarding you tell us your fitness goal (muscle gain, fat loss, endurance, general fitness), your current fitness level, available equipment, and how many days per week you can train. FitAI Coach sends this profile to Claude AI by Anthropic, which generates a complete 8-week progressive overload program tailored specifically to you — not a pre-made template. Every exercise, set scheme, and rest day is chosen for your specific situation.

How is FitAI Coach different from other fitness apps? +

Most fitness apps give every user the same template programs. FitAI Coach is different in three ways: (1) Your workout plan is AI-generated from scratch based on your unique profile. (2) Your daily training intensity is adjusted automatically based on your real recovery data — sleep, HRV, and resting heart rate from Apple Health or Google Fit. (3) The AI coach knows your full training history, so every response is specific to you, not generic advice you could find on Google.

Does the AI coach remember my previous workouts and conversations? +

Yes. Every time you open the AI coach, your full workout history, recovery scores, current program, and recent conversation context are included. The AI knows your PRs, your training volume last week, and your fitness goals — so it gives responses that are relevant and personalised, not generic. It will remember things like your bench press max or that you had a stressful week and adjust accordingly.

What is the Recovery Score and how is it calculated? +

The Recovery Score is a daily 0–100 number that tells you how ready your body is to train. It is calculated from three inputs read from Apple Health or Google Fit:

  • Sleep duration — how many hours you slept
  • Heart Rate Variability (HRV) — a measure of nervous system recovery (higher = better)
  • Resting Heart Rate — how low your heart rate is at rest (lower = more recovered)

A score of 80–100 means train hard. 50–79 means moderate intensity. 30–49 means keep it light. Below 30 means rest. The AI coach uses this score to automatically adjust your training recommendations for the day.

Does it work without Apple Health or Google Fit? +

Yes. If you prefer not to connect a health platform, you can enter your sleep duration, heart rate, and HRV manually each morning through the daily check-in screen. Your recovery score will be calculated exactly the same way. Connecting Apple Health (iOS) or Google Fit (Android) simply makes it automatic — the app reads your data in the background so you skip the manual entry step.

Free tier includes:

How does the 7-day free trial work? +

New premium subscribers get a 7-day free trial with full access to all premium features. No charge is made during the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be billed. If you continue past the trial, your subscription starts at $9.99/month billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime? +

Yes. There are no lock-in contracts. You can cancel at any time through your phone settings — iOS users through the App Store subscriptions page, Android users through the Google Play subscriptions page. Your premium access continues until the end of the current billing period. There are no cancellation fees.

Privacy & Data
Is my health and fitness data private? +

Yes. Your data is stored with Row-Level Security — only you can ever access your own data, even at the database level. We never sell your data to third parties. Health data read from Apple Health or Google Fit is used only to calculate your recovery score and personalise your coaching. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Can I delete my account and all my data? +

Yes. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen within the app. Upon deletion, all your personal data, workout history, health metrics, coach conversations, and transformation photos will be permanently deleted within 30 days. This action is irreversible.
